Virginia Association of Surgical Assistants

WELCOME

The Virginia Association of Surgical Assistants (VASA) is a non-profit organization formed to create a unified voice for Virginia's Surgical Assistants. The VASA is dedicated to enhancing and securing the futures of the professionals who provide this vital and life saving service to patients and hospital throughout Virginia. The leadership of VASA is comprised of an elected President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and a board of directors comprising seven members. The VASA is actively engaged in the legislative, regulatory and occupational issues facing the Non-Physician surgical Assistant. It Is also the intent of VASA to become a source of information regarding certification, governmental affairs, reimbursement, employment, and member networking. Membership is open to any Non-Physician Surgical Assistant interested in advancing the profession of surgical assisting in the state of Virginia and nationwide. The VASA has several levels of membership available.
